Recien salida la beta de Google Earth que tanto está dando de hablar, hoy taremos la manera más rápida y facil de instalar Google Earth 4.3 beta en nuestra distribución Ubuntu. Para ello abre la consola (terminal) y ejecuta el siguiente comando:
wget http://dl.google.com/earth/client/current/GoogleEarthLinux.bin && sudo chmod +x GoogleEarthLinux.bin && sudo ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin
Y listo, se te instalará en la carpeta /opt/google-earth.

El código contenía un error, ya está solucionado. Lo que pasaba es que para dar los permisos no había puesto sudo y por tanto no se podía cambiar.

A mí tampoco me va bien…
Instalé y la primera vez que lo ejecuté iba de maravilla.
Pero las demás veces, se me queda colgado…
Esperaré a Hardy para volver a instalarlo, a ver que tal va entonces…
Al correr con Wine, la verdad es que va lentito y no trabaja con todas las capacidades reales de la tarjeta gráfica.
Bueno, en realidad creo que no “tira” de Wine…
Yo lo instale tras publicar la noticia y de primera siba bien, peor las demas veces me ha ido apurado…nose… veremos en Hardy que tal se porta. También hay que decir que la versión está en Beta…

Al iniciar me da un error “google earth ha detectado un error al intentar autentificarse” me dice que compruebe la conexión de red y el cortafuegos…
En teoría está todo bien, que yo sepa no tengo cortafuegos. (Uso ubuntu 8.04)
